If you're "on MySpace", you will get alot of friend requests. Some of them are ... well ... let's not dive into that
Anyways I've had a DJ profile on MySpace. Over the time quite some muscial stuff has been gathered. When I deleted this profile, I've drawn almost all friends over to my shaded ARTS profile. Accordingly this profile gets alot of friend requests of musicians, bands and DJs.
Why do I tell this? Is there are a point?
YEP.
theYAGE is the point. And what a point indeed!
"Classical/Experimental/Breakcore - It'll make you hate God!"
Harsh statement.
It's indeed breakcore. Very playfull. Very experimental. Very cool!

(07/2009)
Once again it took a "little while"...
The shooting took place in the cellar of our house. Me and my brilliant ideas... That day in the morning I tidied all up and... well, I swept the floor. Sure it would've been a very good idea to spray some water beforehand. That would've kept the dust under control. But some things come to mind only afterwards. Anyway it took more than two hours for the dust to settle. I was already worried...
Eventually we could enter the cellar again
Only light was a flash head with honey comb laying on the floor.

Just stumbled across this on the net (via canonrumors). The original post is not actually very "fresh" anymore; but nonetheless I thought it would be nice to share it here. I only wonder, how the mirror can actually withstand the promised/estimated 100.000 exposures
BTW: It's a Canon 5D

GODEX
First album: "Gates Of The Universe" (on October. 26th 2009 on afmusic).
Once again Peggy Graßler (www.pg-design.de) did the design (incl. promos, CD/booklet and myspace-site). I've contributed the photographs and the Godex website (godex-music.de). The website has been built with TYPO3 and is online since last week.

On shaded ARTS there's now a new area:"Under the hood"
Tutorials, tipps and tricks to photography, image manipulation, webdesign, and web programming/TYPO3.
It starts with the following articles:
301 Redirects via .htaccess
TYPO3 TypoScript Snippets
Modification of the TYPO3 Extension mc_googlesitemap
Once in a while there will be new articles and tutorials. If you like you can even make a request
But don't worry... shaded ARTS will not mutate to some sort of tec blog

Model: Dispensable
Once again this shooting took place in my "micro studio".
For the puppet pictures I replaced the originally white background with something more "grungy".
Only light was basically one flash head with honeycomb.

(03/2009)
Model: Vi Vacious
Location: Washroom
The idea came up due to the "size" of this washroom and the fact, that this tiny room is completely tiled in white. The only light is a flash head on the floor just behind the toilette. So the background is actually overblown but there's more than enough reflection light for having the front of the model lighted as well.
The window is coverd with a (not colored) foil, for having some privacy while "doing things". At the time of the shooting it was already dark outside. So the foil is only lighted from the inside. Due to the white balance and probably due to some sort of light refraction within the foil it's getting this particular blueish look.

... yeah, I know... I'm fiddling around with this site without actually putting something new online. Like that I guess it looks for quite some out there
But: I've come to a decision these days. In short it comes down to:
FOCUS, BABY! FOCUS!

That means basically, that from now on I will concentrate myself on the important things. That again is without doubt shaded ARTS. This "threefoldness" I was performing in the not so distant past didn't actually pay off. If you have to explain to folks what you are actually doing... Or if you see more friction loss than actual worthy results... Well, then you come to ask yourself, if you maybe picked the wrong turn in some way

I myself am on my way back!

For shaded ARTS it means, that I'm going to put also the things online, that I'm doing "beside" photography. It started with all the party flyers I've done until now. Sheesh, I was surprised myself how many flyer contributions to this town's party scene actually have come from my desk...

Furthermore I'll add my "dark" webdesigns. And last but not least the recent photo shoots (three by now), which quite some are eagerly waiting to finally see here. Hmmm... maybe I should stop writing stuff and get back to work, aye?

Once again I've updated shaded-arts.de. Well, I rearranged some bits. Newsletter, guestbook and links have been removed from the top navigation. The news area is a blog now.
The newsletter subscription form went into the blog. The links will show up there as well, as soon as I've time. The guestbook is gone for good. But of course you can comment the blog entries. There is no pingback and trackback for spam reasons. But you're having Gravatars in the commenting system. That means, if someone has added her or his email addy at gravatar.com, a comment along with this email addy will show her or his Gravatar picture. Nice, isn't it?
Oh and I've updated the gallery viewer with a decent thumb preview. That was somewhat overdue.
Have fun

The Thora website (www.thora-fans.com) has been redone with a new design for the album release "Baby No.666".
The Design is based on the works of Irek, the Thora guitarist. This again is based on the cover and booklet art by Peggy Graßler (www.pg-design.de) for "Baby No.666". I added some shots by the way, but that's a different story
Anyways I made some "adjustments", and ported it to TYPO3.
Functionalitywise there's the usual stuff (guestbook, newsletter, galleries, etc.). The Thora-Fan-Forum is planned to be ported to TYPO3 as well in the near future.
UPDATE (06/2008)

UPDATE (05/2009)
The Thora-Fan-Forum could not be reasonably ported to TYPO3. By now the original forum hosting service dropped out, and so the forum as been ported to SMF. It can be reached under forum.thora-fans.com.

Under www.velaskin.de I've established a website for my "DJ activities".
The very site design is rather drawn back for having the opportunity to build some sort of site-in-site-designs.
The areas "Schwarzlicht" and "klirrfaktor-pi" are build that way.
These designs have been in the net on their own as dedicated websites for a while. But then I integrated them into this new website.
The site has been build with TYPO3. Die galleries are flash modules with their own admin area.

The design is "half-fluid". That means, it adapts to the browser window to some extend. At a minimum width of 960 pixels it's full width. Ok, funny to explain... you might simply take a look for yourself then
Other than that there are the usual functionalities. The gallery is a flash module with its own admin area. The website itself is build with TYPO3.

Baby No. 666
The cover-photo and a few more inside the booklet were shot by me, and so I couldn't resist to spent this album a blog entry
The model is Vi-Vacious (aka "Vi-Suicide"). Some of you might already know her from here or from her website. The original picture can be found in this gallery.
The manipulation and the overall artwork of the booklet and the CD has been done by Peggy Graßler (www.pg-design.de)
